What is Deep Canvassing?

Deep canvassing differs from traditional canvassing in a few ways. Here’s what it does:

• centers issues, not candidates

• aims for a 20-30 minute conversation, not short superficial interactions to confirm a vote or voting plan

• enables canvassers to cut through cult of personality and partisan differences and create a lightbulb moment with voters

• reconnects both canvasser and canvasee to deeper shared values of care for community
