Progressive organizing in Roanoke starts here.

Track local & state elections, evaluate candidates and develop guides with support from Media & Communications. Engage in deep canvassing as well as “get out the vote.”

Track federal, state, and local legislation, especially from our representatives, and share key updates with the Media & Communications team.

Organize protests, rallies, and other events. Share legal/safety info and promote nonviolent resistance. Offer logistical support including water, sound, and venues.

Build relationships with local organizations, and table at community events. Onboard new chapter members and help them connect to working groups.

Bring together community members to share and document their experiences, craft stories for public forums, media, and demonstrations.

(Experience Required)
Work with external media, publish stories, and develop/support social media outreach. Design for flyers and other printed materials, the website, and newsletter. Also refine and edit rough draft content.
